Relax Lures

I thought it was about time I wrote a review for another product that I use. This time I would like to introduce you to “Relax Lures”, the Relax Shad was invented by Witold Kowalczyk in the early part of the 90’s in Poland and is the only lure of theirs that I have used so far. (I will be adding some of their other lures to my collection at some stage)

Now I am seeing more and more fantastic products and artists coming from Poland and these lures are no exception. The Relax 2″ Kopyto Shad has resulted in more fish banked for me than any other lure I have used.

I do try other lures and I have to admit that I do have success on the other lures but I always end up going back to the kopyto shad. In fact I have been asked by people I fish with, why do I even other packing any other lures I use them that much.

I have found that these lures are particularly effective on canals and I have caught zander, perch, pike and even a rogue crayfish!!

My favourite way to fish these lures is on the dropshot with the lure only just hooked through the nose to give even more movement as shown in the picture below. (There is a dropshot weight but that mussel took a liking too it lol)

These lures work equally well jigged or on the dropshot and I would imagine will adapt to other styles as well. I am very impressed with not only the action, quality and catch rate of these lures but the price as well (at the time of posting this they were £1.40 for 3 from AGM Discount Fishing).

Now there are a few places you can find out more information about these lures firstly is the Relax website, the second is their Facebook page Relax Lures which is in Polish but they will answer you in English and the third is their YouTube channel Relax Lures.

I’ve included a few photos of fish I’ve caught using the Relax Lures including my personal best perch of exactly 2lb, which is a really good fish for the places I fish.
